Rob Russell is writing new material for a new album and working with great song writers. Also Rob has been approached by a band in Nashville about writing some songs and maybe playing with and singing with this band. Rob has also been approached and asked if he would be interested in forming a Duet, by a great guitar player and singer. We will continue working together and hopefully make a decision in the near future. Rob is taking a break from playing in the bar scene, but is still playing at festivals and corporate venues. I will make every effort to accommodate all proposals of interest to have the Rob Russell Band play. Songs are still being played all across Canada and around the world, so keep requesting and thanks so much for your support.

From the get go this song rocks country style.
This song is from head to toe - PRO in every sense of the word. The singer is a star. He has an origial voice with hints of Darrel Worelly, Tracey Byrd, even Waylon Jennings and definetly worthy of that caliber. He has a richness in his voice that hits the right spot in your listening brain. Its downhome enough and without overdoing it - His voice really does it. He has that extra something that makes a star.
The lyrics are absolutely great - intelligent and beyond solid. The theme - "it's hard to be an outlaw" fires you up and makes you wanna get up and get rowdy. The song itself is great - it's a hit.
Combine that with Nashville's studio players, background singers that hit the mark, and obviously a producer that is world class. This Waylon Jennings--esch type song is a bomb and will be a chartbuster.
This is EXACTLY the kind of song I love to review. I'm tellin ya - this singer is going somewhere and everything you want in a country song is right here. This is a bomb about ready to be dropped. 11/10
